Nojoqui Falls

My husband and I went to Nojoqui Falls in Santa Ynez California on Sunday.  If you get a chance make sure you go soon,  because the water is really flowing now from all the rain.  It’s a muddy trail so wear some old shoes and bring a new pair to step into afterwords.  I’ve been going to Nojoqui Falls since 1978,  this is the most water I’ve ever seen flowing from the falls.  We went the back way to Solvang on Alisal Road.  There are streams flowing,  lime green hills,  and moss hanging from the  oak trees.  How lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place.

When we first turned off Hwy 101 onto Alisal Road we found a barn with a large peace sign on the side.  It’ s called Classic Organic.  It has beautiful organic produce there that is being watered every few minutes by an automatic sprinkler system.  Inside they have cute decorations and they sell a few handmade items,  like aprons and dolls. The best part of this store, besides the organic produce,  is that they use the “honor” system.  There is a large wooden wine container standing upright with a slit at the top. Each item is priced. You take what you want and pay the money in the barrel. This really restored our faith in humanity. Go check it out.

Here is one picture  I took that day. Thanks for your comments and for visiting my site.
